The Best Types of Pizza in the World

As a person of taste, I’ve tried and experienced hundreds of different flavours of pizzas from all across the globe. Pizza’s with the strangest toppings, several kinds of cheese, and some with the strangest of names, I’m looking at you banana and curry pizza, one that I certainly won’t forget anytime soon… and not for a good reason.

Perhaps you’re currently set in your ways, ordering the same old pizza with the same sides and drink, whether it’s a classic margarita or a slightly more debatable ham and pineapple pizza. However, as someone who’s had the pleasure of trying many, you’ve heard it here first from an official person of taste, I’ll tell you what you’re missing out on.

To help you explore not only the history of pizza but to help you discover new flavours and combinations, I’ve put together a list of my favourite pizzas across the world. And yes, these can all be ordered from Cortina Pizza right here in Sudbury, Ontario! How convenient right?

Our Own Delight

If you’re looking for balance, you can’t go wrong with Our Own Delight, or at least that’s what we call it. The combination of pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, onions, and my favourite, extra cheese, creates a mouthwatering unbeatable taste. Loved across the globe for its simplicity yet perfect balance, you can’t go wrong with ordering this bad boy on a Friday night. As a matter of fact, any day of the week is a perfect day to try Our Own Delight.

Kitchen Sink

I can’t make a list of the favourite types of pizza across the world without including the classic, and a Sudbury favourite for over fifty years, The Kitchen Sink. The kitchen sink is a combination of cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, olives, and bacon. With such a diverse list of ingredients, it creates the perfect balance powerful enough to turn a boy into a fully grown man in a single bite. Now that’s magic.

Pepperoni Pizza

Pepperoni pizza is a classic, found in virtually all pizza restaurants around the world. Some restaurants choose to add several additional toppings, others different types of pepperoni and salami. However, the outcome is still the same: a classic but delicious finish perfect for beginning the weekend. Cortina’s Number 3 is unbeatable, for the indecisive or the traditional pizza lovers.

Personally, at Cortina pizza, we add a little extra cheese and even more pepperoni for that much-needed weekend kick.

Veggie Pizza

More and more people are turning vegetarian, whether due to health reasons or growing ethical concerns. However, just because you no longer eat meat, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to enjoy a classic pizza with mouthwatering flavor.

Whether a mix of green peppers, mushrooms, olives, or tomatoes, there’s a veggie pizza with your name on it. As a person of taste, I can confidently tell you that you don’t need meat to enjoy a classic pizza; a veggie pizza does the trick and even makes you feel great for getting your five a day in one sitting.

If you would like to try any of the pizzas mentioned in this article, or if you would like to create your own, as seen from some of the best pizza restaurants in the world, Cortina Pizza has it all right here on our website. So go ahead and explore.
